“I could have attended graduate school almost anywhere, but I chose Robert Morris and it was the best choice I could have made.”
Alumnus James Specker, the State Advocacy Manager for the American Association of Diabetes Educators, welcomed returning RMU students back to the Chicago campus on Thursday during a special orientation session. Specker completed his MBA and MIS degrees at RMU’s Morris Graduate School of Management. He spoke to the students on the time, effort and determination needed to complete his degree, and the eventual career rewards he has realized. “I found my time in graduate school produced a positive return on my investment,” he explained. Since completing his degrees, he has been consistently promoted and given several opportunities to grow within the organization. He added that he accomplished his goals thanks to the support and dedication of his family, his supervisor at AADE, and the faculty and staff at RMU.
