Nursing Alumni Honored at the Spring 2015 Nursing Pinning Ceremony!
Recently, at the Spring Nursing Pinning Ceremony, three nursing alumni were honored. Let me introduce you!
Kari Koster - a 2009 graduate from RMU's very first nursing class. Kari served as the keynote speaker at the pinning ceremony and also received an award for Outstanding Alumna. Kari has a master's degree in nursing and is a psychiatric nurse practitioner for Benchmark Psychiatric. Kari returned to RMU this past winter term serving as an adjunct instructor and has taught the NUR 122 psychiatric nursing course and one psych clinical rotation at Presence Mercy.
Stephanie Poli - a 2014 RMU nursing graduate. Stephanie was recently inducted into the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society. For her capstone project, Stephanie presented on How to Achieve Hesi Success and she presented on this to the NUR 224 students (who will graduate this month). She works full-time on the neurological floor at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Stephanie is presently working on her BSN and she was also the 2014 recipient of a $5000 scholarship sponsored by her employer.
Andrea Balici - a 2014 RMU nursing graduate. Andrea was also inducted into the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society recently . Andrea presented her capstone project on Achieving NCLEX Success to the NUR 224 students (who will graduate this month). She works full-time as an operating (OR) nurse at Evanston Hospital on the day shift. She is also the proud mom of a seven month old daughter.
